Taurus Training is an initiative that empower communities, particularly remote Indigenous groups, with the skills to repurpose local resources, combating environmental waste and providing essential products that prevent livestock slipping, control erosion, and improve access on challenging terrain. Our mission is to foster self-sufficiency and a sustainable future by turning waste into valuable assets.

 Taurus Mats repurpose used tyres to produce a woven mat utilised in agricultural, civil and defence applications. The transportable operation produces a circular product requiring minimal energy compared to other waste tyre processing alternatives. Woven tyre mats are made by weaving together discarded tyre treads, fixed with stainless steel fasteners to produce an extremely durable item. The mats are used predominantly in remote locations to increase livestock welfare by saving trips and fall injuries/fatalities in processing facilities as well as protecting soil susceptible to livestock induced erosion in high traffic areas (e.g., water troughs, feed bins).
